The OEM trunk shock on the Spyder RT 2010 - 2019 isn’t strong enough to support much additional weight, such as from trunk racks or other mounted accessories.
If your trunk lid is like ours it will often close on its own (or now will not hold it up at all), risking your fingers, your personal items, and being very irritating.
The original Lift seems to fail after a very short amount of time. It is pretty much worthless replacing it with another stock piece.
Installation is quick and simple, with zero drilling. It's the perfect fit to replace your weak OEM shock.
