Chrome Edge Guard for Tanks, Fenders, Shields, Etc. (7' or 20')

This Chrome Trim has a 3/16” deep U-shaped channel, an outer width of 1/ 4” with an outer depth of 5/16”. 
The U-shaped channel is filled with an adhesive bead so the trim will not come off.  The trim has a PVC protective coat to keep it like new for years. 

This is probably one of the easiest and fastest ways to add chrome to your bike that there ever was. 
The 7' section will do a gas tank or Fender, and then some. 
If you want to do your whole bike get the 20' piece. 
Make sure to measure the pieces that you want to do, so you get enough.

Installation:
Make sure the temperature of both your parts and the edge guards are at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit before installation. This help ensure the adhesive bead inside the U-shaped channel of the edge protector adheres to your edge's properly and the trim piece stays attached.

*  Begin by cleaning the edges you will be installing the edge protector to with a non-oily cleaner (rubbing alcohol) and a clean cloth. Be sure to remove all dirt, grime, waxes and anything else along the edge to ensure it will properly adhere.

*  Next, get an approximate length of edge guard you will need for you tank, fender, etc.  When cutting the moldings with your razor blade or shears, make sure the side door edge trim you want the public to see is down.

*  Place the U-shaped protector along the edge where you want it.  Start at one end and start pressing it down against the edge.  DO NOT MOVE IT. Moving the molding will affect its ability to adhere to your edge.

*  Once the edge molding is placed and pressed against the edge of your piece, you can either, take a blunt object, like a rubber mallet, and gently tap it along the length of the trim piece, especially at both ends. Or use a cloth as a barrier and firmly push the molding against the door edge with you hands.
